Mistral Free mode — every new account starts in it and can create API keys without a card. Codestral, Mistral Nemo and Ministral answer on a free key; mistral-small and mistral-medium return a zero limit and Large is not in the free tier. Limits are per organization and not published. The "$10/mo in API credits" line was removed from the Free plan on 2026-10-07.
